Arrival Procedures

Students put phones in backpack before exiting the bus Students stand in a line for breakfast before colored cone by grade level before 7:40 (or 7:30 if going into breakfast) Students walk bikes down the hill and then locking the bikes in the bike racks Students greet crossing guard, Mindy Gustof and walk down the hill to school Adults at assigned station for morning duty At 7:30 students walk down the hall to the breakfast room Single file line to get breakfast Students sit at tables to eat At 7:45 students go eat in their classroom Grade level assigned tables Students enter the breakfast room and should eat breakfast there until 7:45. Students throw away trash when finished Phones are put away Students raise their hand if they need help opening milk, getting utensils, etc |
Students talk at a level 2 with those around them Students greet peers and adults Adults greet students and adults by name Adults provide positive feedback for expected behaviors Adults use visual and verbal pre-corrects for expected behaviors Using humor and connections to redirect behaviors Level 1 or 2 voice with people seated nearby Respectful language |

Dismissal Procedures

Students packed up with backpacks and coats when leaving the classroom Kindergarten meets dismissal bus teachers at 2:45 in hallway Students go or stay with their designated dismissal teacher/classroom Students walk in line with dismissal teacher Students wait in designated space until called to be dismissed Listen for announcement and/or bell |
Level 2 voice Students say goodbye to peers and adults Adults provide positive feedback for expected behaviors Adults use visual and verbal pre-corrects for expected behaviors Use humor and connections to redirect behaviors Greet parents/teachers/champions/bus drivers Students stay in designated line or area |
